On Saturday morning, Chad and I woke up and decided to drive to Texas to visit Rachel and Dave. We got up and were on the rode within about an hour. It took about 4 hours to drive there, but we enjoyed being on the road. We spent our time shopping for baby clothes, walking at Arbor Hills, going to see Bride Wars, playing Taboo, and going out to eat with D and E. We had such a good time! We got back home on Monday night.
On Wednesday, we made a quick trip to my parents farm and ended up taking Bella to have an emergency c-section that night. She had one puppy that we believe was trampled by the goats. The goats were in the pen because Bella wasn't due for another two weeks. However, we found out that her bladder prolapsed and caused her to go into premature labor. After hours of labor, we called the vet and she had us take her in for an emergency c-section and bladder repair. During the night, two other pups died, but five made it. They are so tiny! We put Bella and her pups under a heat lamp at home. Hopefully, they will stay warm; however, our concern is also whether or not they will be able to eat. They are not nursing, so mom and dad tried to feed them goat's milk with a dropper, but had little success...
Chad and I ventured home today where we are winding down to prepare for work.
